Romain Laurent studied
graphic
design
at ÉSAD
Valence.
He now
lives and works in
Paris as a freelance graphic designer, author and publisher. His practice focuses on publishing and editorial
design, using books as the subject and object of his productions. Through his work, he seeks to question the
standardisation, reappropriation and hijacking of printing processes. In 2022, he co-founded PNEU, a magazine produce by students
in the graphic design
master’s programme of ÉSAD Valence. PNEU is conceived as a
place to formulate thoughts, write and share. A vector for bodies, affects and ideas. . . Romain
Laurent’s work can be read as well as seen, touched as well as listened to; taking the form, in
turn or simultaneously, of printed matter, publications, writings, interviews, translations, workshops, events,
and more. In 2024 he join the publishing house Électro-bibliothèque.
